i am trying to decide just hose much to take out of my 27 t coupe
i want to make a pretty good statement with the chop and this is not going to be a rat rod i paln to channel it just over the frame
ive seen one some chopped 13 inches 12 inches, 10 inches, and 6 inches
but i have liked them all
give me some input on how much you would chop one

It' really gonna depend on your comfort level when finished. Yeah you like them all from the outside, but what about from the inside as a driver or passenger. If you are 6 foot tall with a 13 inch chop, your not gonna be happy...John

i would channel it first, then put your seat in it, sit in it, then chop it just above your head.

I wouldnt chop it at all. I have always wandered what 2 to3 inches would look like though

  23. Sorry, wrong guy.
They repop that panel your looking for.
If that was mine, I would take like 2" from the front and give the roof a rake, kinda like it looks now.............what motor are you planning on running?

its all good, i am undecided right now though as to what motor to run, i have a 53 desoto with a 276 hemi in it, a really nice zz4 crate motor with just about all the power additiois you can do, or my dad is in the mopar business and has a fresh rebuilt 426 hemi he said he would sell me for 6 grand, but the 6 grand is my trouble, id have to sell something to afford it

Yup. Give yourself enough headroom to wear a fedora so you're comfortable in the thing.
