This is a really interesting build. I would love to see someone over 6' try to fit in the car haha. All in all the car looks sweet, and i would kill for half your metal working skills

  5. Im STILL doing bodywork its getting there but its taking forever. I forgot how much I hate the dust and mess! Yesterday I started trying to fit the windshield after much thought i decided to sink it into the roof . Im using a 49 olds ht windshield which is 3" shorter already than the 52 split glass so it fits (sort of) Ill post some pics as soon as I find my camera

Johnny your good nice car very sweet, I like your work you have every thing in proportion that takes good thinking plus the metal work skills. Do you know Ken Nottingham from Vancouver island?

    Proportions are dead on!!!

Hopefully this isn't a repeat of what I may have already said once....
The koolest thing about your project is your building it to drive. You
just don't see to many chopped and sectioned drivers.

    Very Kool!!!

    Happy Trails,

  19. UPDATE!!!!!!!!! The car is in primer!! Im going to sand it out and prime again and block and it should be ready for paint. Speaking of paint I have the incredible good fourtune to have Gene Winfield painting it. I cant believe it!!!!!! He's going to do his signature full candy fade style paint job that has made him famous, cant wait. I just have to get the car done, back to work!

Welcome to the board. The car looks great!!!! Nice job on the metal working. I love the shortened section idea. I heard you talking about green. It is a fairly uncommon color but you can never go wrong with green on a custom. I recently was searching paint codes for a new project and spent a week driving to my local dealers looking at colors. Some of the new factory colors are more interesting than the big name custom mixes. Toyota has a bunch of great colors out right now. One in particular stood out for me. I is a green that is offered on the 2010 Toyota Camry. The color is absolutely outstanding. It has a ton of flop. Your cars body lines would be the perfect canvas for this color. The color offers tons of metallic luster with a good contrast of brightness and an unforgetable dark flop. Check it out. The color is called Spruce Mica and is absolutely stunning. I know the pictures are odd due to the car but it really helps see the way the color will dance on the body lines. Hope it helps.
