I had a great time there, but since I know nothing about the cars or racing this will just be photos of things that caught my eye. I'm sure others can provide info.

Funny thing is, I was so overwhelmed by everything I forgot to take photos of the cars actually running on the track:eek:.

OK I gotta have more info on that red roadster!!!!! Grill sorta looks like 32 Chrysler.

I have a 32 Chrysler grill and have wanted to build a boattail starting with that grill.

Lots of cool stuff in all those pics!!!!

The pitman arm running verticle like a cross steer on that blue car is pretty cool.

Every time we have a thread about historic race cars I like to look for the details. This last bunch gave me 3 things that could be utilized on a hot rod. I'm not saying which ones, look for yourself.:)

It's a '35 Dusenburg SJ. I spent an hour looking that over. I've got more pics and will try to load them and post.

  21. I miss summer on the Monterey Peninsula - Concourse at Pebble and vintage races at Laguna Seca. Ever see 30 classic Ferraris in one parking lot? It is quite impressive!

I'll bet Old Dawg can tell us about the cars and who was driving what. Only driver I recognized was the guy from Speed Channel who pissed everyone off by driving too fast through the paddock/pits.

I am no photographer. All shots were taken with my HP M425 ($89 at Circuit City RIP) in too big a hurry. I'll try to slow down and think about where the light is in the future...

did you ice that eye down afterward??? always a great event...i had the privilege in the early 90's for a few years to be able to assist an old friend who was a SCRAMP official by working at the gas pumps in the paddock (all the big races bike/historic/etc...some folks brought their own fuel others bought at the track...was a real thrill when someone would let me fill their car up be it a 1916 buick or a gt-40!! that audi is very cool....and thanks for sharing the great shots!

Thanks for the pics, I can't wait to see all of that for myself one these years! Imagine, the Flats and then Pebble Beach, it would be like heaven! I hear next year at Pebble Beach they are having some type of hot rod roadster special class or something, anyone know anything about it?
