Either way its a cool ride. I also have a 51 and its had two complete restorations in the last 30 years. One was stock as it came from the factory and the last wild paint and total cosmetic changes. I think what ever you decide to do is fine and its going get thumbs up no matter what you do.

The white walls look terrible. For a small fee, I'll take them off your hands and put them on my fiance's F1 so that she can be embarrassed instead of you. I'm here to help. :D

I dig the WWWs. Should look great once you get the bigger ones up front, but those don't look bad.

If it were my truck I would leave the Blackwalls. Seems to fit better. But if you go a lot farther on the truck. Flat Black paint etc. I would go with Whitewalls. Just my taste.
DOD Sticker. heat gun and then Naptha to remove the little residue of the glue.
    Good Luck

I think the wide whites are the way to go for sure!

  10. I'm quite surprised with how many people like the blackwalls. It looks too plain jane to me. I know it's just a pickup, but I wanna dress it up a little.

How about this look, Leave it stock height with the stock size tires (6.50x16) only whitewalls? Heres what she'd look like...

That looks better to me but on your truck with the faded paint i think whitewalls will still look a little out of place.

I really like your truck by the way. I wish mine was 1/2 as solid when I started putting it together.

Ahhhh nay say'ers!!! I say the White walls look good and I would run them definitely. It's adds a little pop to the truck and just because it has them does not take away the utility of the truck at all. I don't think it has to be slammed but a nice raked stance would give this truck a whole new lease on life. Instead of just being the work horse, who know's next time Billetproof Washington comes around you might find yourself taking the truck or towing a bitchen Roadster to Austin next year with an equally bitchen truck!!!

  16. HAHAHA- everything I own/have owned has white walls and old crappy paint with the exception of this truck and my roadster :D

Black walls do it for me, but I really like your truck. Hope to have some paint on mine one of these days when all the metal patching is done.

I wouldnt lower with the axle since then you would have to add blocks to the rear to
make it proportionate....do the springs...3 inc in the front and 3 in the back..mine drives
great and not slammed but still usable
    my thoughts
