Progress continues on The Legion Special and we have a first deadline to make. It will be on display in the Seret Speed & Custom booth at the Goodguys West Coast Nationals in Pleasanton in a few weeks. We plan to have all of the metal work done and the whole car in bare metal by then.

So what have we done lately? Well, Matt has ruled it on the belly pan. It's a two-piece design that is about half way through being heavily louvered - about 250 punched slots! The license plate mount is done. The third piece of the dash is etched and cut out. The shock arms are adjusted and ready to go on. The trans tunnel is done. The floor just needs a heel blister and then it's ready for staining and sealing. The nose has been extended to curve all the way under and meet the belly pan. And more!

    Anyway, here are some photos!

Belly pan pieces bolted on after much adjusting.

The frame was trimmed and reshaped to follow the rear of the body.

Then I tried to kill myself with the hot TIG rod. Burning human stinks!

    Looks great.

Will they be able to "blend" the tat?

  9. Looks great guys!! Love the belly pan a work of art all of it own. It does suck burning yourself with the TIG rod especially if it cauterises itself to your arm. The price you pay for a cool car.:D

Who knows. What was weird was that it only hurt the instant that it happened. My wife was grossed out and it's not a crazy shiny black scab lower than the rest of the skin around it.

    Lame!

What it needs is taillights shaped like musical notes, a double continental kit and lake pipes with six fake openings.

or just caddy bullets and some cast iron fence toppers welded the length of the hood like gun sights, and a shifter that comes out 3' above the top of the car with a barbie doll stuck on the end of it.

oh, and leave a can of muriatic acid next to it over night, so it has lots of surface rust. red wheels. must have red wheels. breath really heavy when standing next to the muriatic acid.
