I met her in Austin (breifly I think) and have had to opportunity to chat on here a few times....great, geniune person...a rarity these days.

 

Isn't this question in the "...if ya have to ask..." catagory?

 

These cookies I hear so much about, but have never seen. Are they in the shape of famous cars? Is there an official secret HAMB recipe? Inquiring cookie eaters want to know!

Denise is a real hot rodder. She is the nicest and friendliest person I have met from the HAMB. Just meet her in person and you will know why.

Denise is the real deal! A genuine nice giving caring sharing person with the biggest most beautiful smile in the world (except for Cindy!). She has baked more cookies than the Keebler elves! Cindy & I first met Denise @ the HAMB Drags in '04, one of the sweetest people in the world. Now she comes to Lonestar Roundup so we get to see her twice a year. See you in a month Denise!!

 

That's why I'm going to the drags too.

Being both a Hot Rodder and a Goddess, I submit that she be dubbed "Hot Roddess" and referred to as such from this point forward.

Big Olds was actually a celebrity before Denise. Our late friend Steve Hendrickson Started him and chronicled the 1st build up in Rodders Digest 15-20 years back. Denise bought the old guy (BO not Steve) to replace a car lost in a fire. What you see today is due to Denise's vision and hard work..........with paint by some goofy Hillbilly

 

Once, long long ago, there was the coolest neatest guy who ever walked this planet playing with an old car. He had friends far and wide, and wrote about the old car he was building in a magazine. Because he was such a neat dude, people liked him. Because he was such a dedicated worker, he brought back this rust bucket and it took on a persona all its own. Because he found the car of his dreams, he considered selling this now famous old car. The new owner would have a tough time holding up the tradition the persona of the car had. This young lady in question has done all that and much, much, more. She drove the car, added smiles to all she met, filled them with cookies, and more importantly, she added the love that the original builder had for the car and the hobby. To this day, I get tears in my eyes when I see The Big Olds. Sadly, Steve was taken from us by an unusual disease. But Steve lives on, and Deniss makes that happen. Thank you sunshine.

 

She knows were to get the best italian in Mt. Clemens.

But I have yet to eat her cookies.... uh... I mean taste her cookies... Wait a minute,

I have yet to try one of her cookies that she bakes.

I have never had one of those famous cookies, but that does not matter, Denise is Awesome.
