I went to a Rod Run today. The best thing there was a 5 window coupe that the guy built in 1959. Awesome car and it was a nice car. Talked to him for a while and got the history of the car and him. LOL

Found it, yes. Purchase it,no. I don't think it will ever be for sale. Very kool anyway.

  5. found a neat old coke cooler for 3 bucks at a senior center thrift store.

  6. Bought a .99 cent item at 7-11 and got a nice 1902 Indian Head penny as change.

That hasn't happened to me since the 60's. That's pretty incredible that the thing was still in circulation.

Spied the roof of an old Studebaker behind a fence. ASked about it and got the tour. Turned out to be a really really clean 1949 coupe in navy blue with wide whites. Too bad it wasn't a bullet nose. Old guy had it in his garage for years and threw it out back when he bought himself a new PT cruiser turbo convertible. A buffing and cleaning and touch up and the car is ready to roll proud. He's asking $6,500 which I think is too much. I'm going to go back with a camera and offer $4,000. I hate to let it sit there and rot into the ground becuase it is way too clean to do that to it.

Found a whole junkyard for the taking but this is all we could get in the car, plus some old oil pumps and enamel signs. Definately one of my better days of scrounging

I had two good yard sale finds this weekend, neither car related but still pretty cool!

#1) A vintage rotory mower that works awesome! I mow with a big tractor and can't get to some small parts of the yard, this will be great!

#2)Vintage pram (fancy word for stroller). Turns out it is a Silver Cross/Wilson Wedgwood made in England in the 1960s. A little elbow grease then ebay here we come :D

1951 F-1 at a local car show. I shot the shit with that old guy for a half hour. Learned a lot about my truck, and what things he did that I like. Not to many F-1's around here, so it was good to see. Truck was not for sale, nor did I have the cash to afford even a coke.
