Thank you Navymailman for sharing your pictures with us who can't be there. Finally - a reason to look at this thread. It took 60 pages of teenage BS until a FNG posted something worthwhile. Great pics.

Got that right! Now I have even more excuses to plan a vacation down south!

Navymailman, thanks for all the cool pics. Friendly warning, however, the HAMB is a pre-64 site so you may take a little flack for all the muscle/late model vehicles.

  11. Yes, the pics are greatly appreciated. But, you don't have to show EVERY freakin car that was there.....;)
I mean that in the friendliest way possible, but all those Fox body Mustangs and late models are not necessary. It was a blast, that's for sure. I saw a lot of people that I haven't seen since they closed the Blvd, (or "The Bull" as we used to call it) to cruisers. The Blvd was our common ground. Many of us, as good as we got along on Wednesday, usually did NOT keep in touch between Wednesdays. So, when they closed "The Bull" many of us lost contact with eachother

Next time, someone should just follow Eryk and his '53 around. If I make it down there some day, I'll be b-lining it for the Olds!

Thanks, but again we set up where Rydell wanted us. The live feed
took over our 1st spot. (also where Rydell put us) We also had a list of food places and where they where located on the blvd (100 copies) along
with the free stickers. Signed Mrs VNCruiser
P.S. Groucho Jenny looks hot in your black shirt,:p[IMG]

  14. I'm surprised Rydell didn't allow you a bit more latitude, since you're so instrumental in this even happening:(. I'm wondering if we should have some cut-off time to leave the lot, before the houses behind complain? Once they complain, and sooner or later they will, we may lose use of the lot for good. Just a thought. Also gives the trash volunteers a chance to cruise some more after helping out. Again, thanks for all your efforts. R U going to Bob's today?

  17. I posted pics last month. This month I got to cruise instead. Besides, I said I meant what I said in the friendliest way (and I thanked him). Did you wanna look at 1988 Mustangs? If so, I'm sure there are boards for that:rolleyes:

Hey, my car finally made it on the posted pictures! :) Nice shot of it too! Got my sexy boyfriend in the pic too. Now I have 2 things in this picture to drool over! My car and my man!

Hey, Fencepost (post #1236)...what's wrong with "muscle cars"??? As I remember, in 1977-1979, the MUSCLE cars made up 99% of the cars on VNB! Don't hate.

I'm 1,673 miles away, needless to say I wasn't able to cruise on over to the Blvd wed, sorry.

I thanked Navymailman, and offered a little friendly advice. I wasn't being offensive, I was giving him a break, as people on here like to get their pants in a knot over OT cars.

    My bad, I guess.

Nothing at all. My dad is a muscle car man and I grew up around them. This just isn't a muscle car message board, is all. I respect what you are all doing and thin i's very cool that cruising has been allowed back on Van Nuys, and I would love to cruise alongside you all sometime, I was just trying to give him some friendly advice as to the rules of the board, before someone with less tact tells him where to put those photos :p

Again, his efforts ARE APPRECIATED and I ENJOYED THEM. Muscle cars are COOL and I'm SORRY if I offended anyone

I'm not offended...I'm just pokin' fun at ya.
I'm sorry you had to miss this. It's definitely worth a trip here for another event. There was some live stream videos on:
    http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/1775670
to see what you missed. I know it's not the same as being here, but at least you can see it. Turn the sound up, so you can get all of the sounds. LOL! Vroom!

I got an "emergency phone call" from an uncle of mine who was left on the side of the road by studio city... Had to go pick him up... He wasnt in great shape so i had to take him home...

I'd say i made my last round at about 10...

Too early to leave the blvd...
