I'm starting to think about designing my own steering wheel and need some inspiration. Let's see what you like. No Grant products. No late model OE stuff. No Billet. (duh)

Classic, Special, Racing, One Off, Exotic, Bring 'em on!

As an added bonus, I'm starting a picture thread before Royalshifter does! :D

    Here's one to get started...

  2. Mine is a 40 Buick banjo that was originally flat....bent the spokes up and welded 'em to a smaller hoop. Original 40 Buick horn button with a chevy hubcap center cap and optional [at extra cost] spider

funny, i picked up a basketball hoop at the metal scrap bin at the town dump couple months ago with that same thought... "cut this down to a smaller diameter and it'd make a kick ass wheel core"

This is one of my favorites. I can't remember what it is off of. I want to say it came off of a Packard or a Plymouth.

Different style cars take different wheels. It's funny but I like this 56 Mainline elcheapo wheel for my sleeper just as much as the 39 banjo with a working horn ring for my sport coupe.

I've liked Moto-Lita steering wheels ever since my dad had one in a Fiat.

    235KID....

    Thats a Packard Clipper wheel.

You want another ? I have a '56 Clipper wheel i would trade or sell, It even has about 6" of the shaft so you could weld it to any column.

  19. heres mine. 49 Plymouth adapted to a nova tilt column. the spacer between the steering wheel and the column is the bottom of a quart paint can cut down. I restored the wheel myself. Bud

Here is mine. It is a 39 Banjo cut down to 15" with a stainless ring added. I will have it leather wrapped.
