I'm partial to the other one also but I wanted to make sure everyone else likes it.

  2. Looks great Jamie, another Job well done...

I vote no oval, this ain't NASCAR...

  3. Can you change the engine in the front logo to have Zoomies and a blower? Maybe some fire coming out of the zoomies???

    looks cool - good job

Ya know Dans car has a Hemi! Would make a nice silouette like Tudor said Blower and breathing fire would be great! but its just a suggestion

  6. I think the headers hanging down look good already - but the air cleaner needs to go!! Could you do a blower case and a bug catcher with some injectors in between?

Opinions are like assholes (everybody's got one), and mine is to leave off the oval outline and since we're honoring Dan, keep the deuce sedan true to the look of his.
Great job on the poster and the T shirt logo!

The latest one is it. Nice Job. - Gabe

  11. Jamie,
the blown one is a lot cooler, and since it will be separate from Dan's Sedan, I say that is the way to go...

Any chance of having some made up with the flier picture on them, just a thought, I'd get a couple of each.

We'll be there in the '59 ragtop. Won't be racin', unless you are timing with a sun dial, but I sure like to watch. That is a great facility for your show...plenty of room and very well kept. Thanks for the heads up, and we will be looking forward to being there.

Are you guys getting any fliers out in the parts stores here in Macon? I'm sure there are some guys here that will be very interested in attending this one.

  14. Yes we are having flyers made and posters to place in some places around. I have created a website on this also for info and one for t shirts

I should have my blown Pinto/Volvo headed Bantam done by then. I'm welding up the four 3-1/2" megaphones with turnouts zoomy today.

Spent some time on the phone the last couple days with a heads up to local, and not so local, hot rodders that I know who aren't internet active in an attempt to build interest and participation in RWYB 2009.
We all can do this as I'm sure we all know hot rodders who aren't on the net.
And the more participation we get, the more fun it'll be and the more likely to continue in the future!

Can we print a poster from a thread? I'd post them in some auto related places here.

Chopped, Heres a Black and white version of the flyer that will be much more printer/ink friendly than the color version. I'm actually trying to print some out right now but i've been fighting with this printer for about 45 minutes now!

I printed a copy of the poster and I dunno what I did wrong, but it cut the last info line off just below middle of the letters!
But then the sumbitch found a way to print all the garbage about jalopy journal, etc. for the bottom line!

Damn, this thread dropped to page 7 in just 11 hours! We gotta do better in keeping it up front!
Called several more locals last night to spread the word.
Damn surprising thing was the number of guys with sharp rides who say shit like: " All I ever do with my ride is cruise a bit and go tp shows and cruise ins." One says his has a 2.79:1 rear gear for gas mileage and would rattle and ping so bad if he ran it in full throttle acceleration that it might pop something.
Wanted to tell him that a gear that tall would help for sure on the open road @ 75-80 mph, but would be of little to no help in town!

  28. Dave,
that seems to be where a lot of people have migrated to in the past 20 years. Not enough events or places to run a hot rod, so many people are building street rods. Instead of racing them, they just cruise to the local "cruise in" or show and sit in a lawn chair waiting for someone to come by and tell them how cool their car looks. But that doesn't prevent them from running built SBC's and even some killer BBC's in their cars, then they complain about gas mileage. Building a car like that is like taking a box of Viagra and moving into a monastery, eventually you're gonna go queer... "not that there's anything wrong with that"...

Talked to another local last night. He has 2 rods, a '30 Ford coupe, channeled with a blown sbc, and a Chev. coupe, full fendered, early 3os, not sure exactly on the year. He says he'll try to make it.
Damn , yall help out a bit on keeping this thread up front! Found it this AM on pg 12!
