    well the desert gods are on my side so far...
    pulled the intake looks like there's no water damage.looks real good for sitting 48 years.

    Oh...Nope. It would have been recycled into a 1978 Toyota Corona front clip for sure.

    Looks like the last tags were from 1973....not quite 48 years but still a long time. This is a great find!

    hey justplane, if i was you, i wouldn't even pull the heads, id crank her up.
    but if yu do, be sure to post some pics of the block relieving, i be interested to see if they cut the top of the bore down to above the ring grove ??
     
  20. I wonder if the Engine was Built by Stillwell he Built a lot of Flatheads back in the 50's
    and Drag raced them in fact he is still building Hot Rods
    he use to work for Almquest Automotive
    the Next time I go to Cruse Night I will see if hes there
    he has a Hemi Hot Rod 32 coupe

    great find ..figures a ny car would make its way west ....i live about 20 mins from the west hampton raceway ..i used to race there alot its now shut down..the owner sold it for a shit load of money ...because the surrounding neighbors were complaining about the noise coming from the track..anyway they built a elderly community there now ...so long island is trackless...we have to drive to new jersey to race..it would be cool to find any of his family members or old club memebers. see if you can find out any names of people he new or anyone who had anything to do with the car or a address of family members shit ill try to traqck em down ...i love this stuff..good luck with the car ..

    That is amazing, cool find, Who made those air cleaners????? my hot rod has the same ones and it was built in the same time frame.

    Awesome find, is the motor froze? Looks clean under the intake. Would be awesome if it would fire off and run. Should if its not froze. Awesome find for sure :)
