Saw this cool ride Sunday at the 4th Unfinished Nationals in Paris Ontario Canada (among a ton of other cool cars). Its running a front wheel drive Caddy mill over the rear axle. The paint job is real moss and rust. F-ing cool. Just a young guy with a future.
when i got my model a coupe body it was moss and rust . i did'nt like the way it looked so i just painted over it .
In it's present state I see why it's getting some shit here... but i'm imagining what it could be, and I like what I see. I don't see an issue with the engine being in the back, it's just the execution that's lacking. Hell, everyone drools at the COE that rolls up to the Roundup every year... it's got an engine in the back. Anyhoo... -Chris
I like the fact that it is a Mercury truck, and would love to get one of those grills. Its neat and different and all that, but the engine looks like ass. If he covered it up with a bed cover nobody would know and think it had no engine until he drove off. I appreciate the ingenuity of a young guy getting into the hobby that has some talent, although a little misdirected at this time. He will figure it out. Nobody was born a car builder. It takes alot of trial and error.
tuff fuckin crowd in hear! im sure there was alot of engineering in it.. maybe hes just not old enough to be perfect like everyone else on here
I guess I just like anything that's different. If the poor bastard had simply put a SBC in it he'd have been fried alive on this forum. Just can't please anyone these days.
Clever - no, that combo has been done at least once previously...and it's certainly NOT traditional... Cool - well, if you call "moss and rust" cool, and an old farm truck with sagging door handles cool, then so be it. I don't think you'll find the same definition here. Young - yep, we all were...and most of us learned from it...hopefully he will too. Canuck - isn't that a derogatory term up there in Canada...or am I misinformed...??? R-
