I found these back by the stereos and such here at a thrift store.
I have no idea what they go to but I thought they were cool.
There is 2 speedos and one tack, I think the one speedo is newer cause it just says SW instead of Stewart Warner.
does anyone know how to date these????
Ohh and cause I know you guys will ask They where $5.00 bucks each.

Sre they for a boat? They only go up to 80mph and 3500 rpm.

Maybe they were in a bus. That's where I found an 80 mph SW speedo. I great find for sure.

I had thought about that but the one speedo has 55 all decorated and i wouldn't think that would matter on the water.

I have an 80MPH SW speedo. In the early 80s..that was what was available. Mandated highway speed limit was 55..gauges read to 80 max..if I remember.
Sometimes the good old days weren't..

That will probably be an hour counter not an odometer. Some heavy vehicles get serviced by operating hours not miles driven.

That is really an hour-meter, but set to convert hours to "motor miles" to help determine service intervals. I would bet that the tach & matching speedo came out of some 80's truck or bus.

Works as a hour meter . Often used on vehicles that used the engine to power equipment while the truck etc. was not moving mixers, winches etc. Usualy marked motor miles to give a idea when oilchanges etc. were needed.

With the 3500 rpm tach and 80 mph speedo's I'd say that they came from a heavy truck.

I think I pulled one of those speedometers out of a truck in a wrecking yard in the early 70's. They were either replacement units or in something like a Peterbuilt, KW or Freightliner.

Grats to you on the "A". Now we need to get your shop clean so we can get it in there.

Those SW gauges are really cool too!

I needed more time to read the mag you handed me... I'll come over in the morning and read it on the shitter :)
