I took these shots of this strange little rocket car at one of the open house picinics
at Jay Orberg's old "Mr. Roadster" shop, in Moline IL, back in the early 80's...

My question is: Was this a "real" old racer that had been restored, or just someone's cool idea of a "what if"???

  2. Not sure about the linage but is sure is cool looking. Looks like it might be some promotional idea.

Hmmmm....not sure. Sure is interesting, I hope someone can shed some light on its origins.

  4. V-DUB power ?

  5. VW used 4 and 5 lug wheels, this one appears to have more.
Hard to tell from those angles.

    Definitely never seen it before.

Cool looking but I never saw it before. As small of wheelbase as it appears I would say a promotional thing possibly.

I think that car was in the old Tom Slick cartoons. it was driven by a dog.

I think those mooneyes stickers are rather appropriate. That is a neat car, I wonder if Dean Moon might have had something to do with it?
