Nice work. The stance on that is killer. That'll be one cool car once it's finished!

Mr. Ford came over and we got the engine set in there. We set it up a little high, I think it looks pretty good:) Got to get on them engine mounts...

It took me two years to find the taillights. They are my favorite thing on the car. I set them up there (along with the deck lid) to see what they'll look like..

Paul, the car looks very nice.

Let me know if you want to use a spin-on filter.

This one pivots on the centre bolt, just pick your position.

Thanks guys! The taillights are '37 Chrysler. I pieced them together over a couple years. Finally found a second center reflector and when I put it on the lens cracked :( So then it took ANOTHER three months to find another lens...

Love those tail lights! Saw a set on a roadster in LA about 5 years ago, but thats the ONLY time I've ever seen another set. Real nice look to the whole car.

Your coupe is looking good! Those taillights are absolutely KILLER! I've never seen any like it. For that matter I can't recall seeing a 37 Chrysler. I don't think your motor sits to high though, but that's just me. Keep up the good work.

  22. hmmm... are the Chryslers different than the Dodge and Plymouth Lens? They look great. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=291425

The whole car has a great stance and I dig the artillery wheels with the whites. I really look forward to seeing it's completion. [IMG]

Thanks! :) Yep, Chrysler and Desoto are different from dodge plymouth those years. They're hemispherical with a hole in the middle...

Your pretty close to the firewall. Better mock it up with a distributor in it. Dad.

Yup! I love 'em too! Running the same ones on my roadster I'm building.... Seems like the word is getting out on them 'cause I've had mine for about 4 years, but the price on 'em has been going through the roof in the past couple years.

Thanks! I know I have to get on it! Looks killer:) Definitely mitch approved.

Engines gonna slide forward a scooch. It'll just fit.

Awesome! I gotta see that roadster! Yeah the price is ridiculous now. I've seen a perfect pair up in the 800$ range:eek:. I pieced mine together so I have about 100$ in them but it took forever...

I have an extra lens I'm considering making a negative to repop some plastic ones just in case...

Paulie... are you going to run the stock water pump or do a conversion? Let me know if you need the measurements for the conversion if you go that direciton.
