Would you chop the top?

No chop!

 

Although a little late on the response, I have built a few '35-'38 Plymouth & Dodge coupes and have always left them alone because of the of the factory rake. Granted, it's up to each individual owner but if you compare the same coupe bodies from Chevy and Ford, they seem to need a cut (to really enhance their stance) while the Mopars can go without. Again, in the end, it is all personal preference.

 

No chop! But take that script off the grill please, and lose the "Auto Zone" bug catcher I'm begging you man!

I like the car stock height. I think the Plymouth is one of the few cars that doesn't need a chop to enhance its looks.

No chop, change the grille and wheels. It would also look good with fenders if you've got them.

 

Another vote for no chop, changed grill, intake, and wheels.

 

Put your efforts elsewhere - No chop.

I think that it looks very good as it is. The roofline is already really nice.

No chop. If you don't want fenders you need something below the sill plate to make it look more proportional. Lake pipes would look badass and change the proportions automatically making the top look lower. Personally, I'd also stick taller meats on the rear if possible...wide whites would look cool too. And you need a street sweeper style grille. not a bug catcher. Cool ride though..these are just things I would do. Do what you want and enjoy it!

It needs different rear tires, those fatties are for Nova's...No chop...

I say CUT IT UP, but only 1.5 rear & 2 inches front.

Damnit! I was just going to say put the fenders back on it as no fat fendered car looks good without them. Then Paul had to go a fuck me over with his old car.

No Chop, its too perfect now, and it will be more enjoyable to drive as it is. Looks are one thing; but never at the expense of functionality.

 

If it were mine and I still had fenders and running boards, I would go the kustom route. Chrysler products are bad ass. Otherwise refer to the previous post...

 

If ya got a sawsall or plasma cutter and a welder, just do it. If ya dont , call me.

 

i always liked the original better, dont chop.

 

I think if you chop it the proportions will start to look a little cartoony and destroy the look of the car now,just my 2 cents!

 

don,t chop it ,it looks great just the way it is

 

choppin it would look cool,,but,,you would have to lower seats ,,or else your head will be scraping the top...ride looks great as-is...
