Folks Of Interest Geordie's junkyard pics!

I finally got to spend an hour with my camera out at Geordie Vincent's storage yard here in town. I know that he is not well liked by some people here, but I thought you'd like to see what his yard looks like. I don't want this post to turn into a pissing match about him.

Everything is for sale and I'm willing to be a middleman for anyone who wants to buy something from him and can't get here to inspect it for themselves.

Why are many of the guys that have these large stashes of cars "not well liked"? They have it and we don't? Ha!

I'd be interested in this tub body - is it as good on the bottom (other) side?

 

I don't know about "not well liked" but he's definitely a little nutty......like serious multiple personality type nutty. You'll get completely different treatment and answers just about every time you talk with him or email him.
10 years or so ago that yard was really something to see----the last big selection of 32-34 Ford stuff I've seen in any non-private salvage yard and a giant amount of Packard stuff too.
Looks like there's still some good stuff but not as completely mind-blowing as before.

if I ever end up in heaven I hope it looks like that... it would take an eternity to fix all those cars.

 

That is a really nice yard for picken up parts and bodys. But its too bad that they for the most will just end up as top soil over the years.

We moved here last year, although I had a tour of his yard about 23 years ago when he was on the highway just west of town. All the 32-34 stuff is long gone but there's still alot of usable stuff there. He still has a ton of Packards, too.

Nutty? You betcha! He is definitely an interesting character. He's also a helluva lot smarter than one would initially think. Once you get to know him a bit he can be ok. He wasn't too sure about me when we first met last year, but now he's pretty comfortable around me and will let me into the yard.

I plan to go back to take individual pics of everything there so I can build a website for him. I have a feeling it will be a long-term project for me!
