I'm kicking around some paint ideas for my pickup. Show me your flaked roof for inspiration. It can be a truck or car, plain or fancy, I just want to see glittery glistening METAL FLAKE.:D

Thanks for all your inspiration and thanks for this great forum. You guys are the best.;)

Here ya go Terd, I'll back you up...

In that first sketch, I used my kid's glitter glue on paper to show the 'Flake. Try snapping a good color photo of your car, print it out and then go get the "Deluxe Super Glitter Party Set" from your local art store.

For maximim effect, get every kid in the neighborhood to color with ya!...As a matter of fact, send me all those kid's work, I need new ideas for paint jobs...

Here's Kirk Hanning's '34 truck. And Some Jive Caddy that needs to be lowered.
I also have a silver Caprice wagon with blue flake on the roof. Gonna flake the roof of my black '65 Coupe DeVille in red here in a minute.

  6. I am wanting to shoot my wagon roof in white with metalflake. No design, just color with flake. It'll be interesting to see what gets posted!

I like the flaked roofs a lot. I think they look really sharp if they're on the right car.

You might want to look at Donnie Baird's stuff at imperialcustoms.com
You don't get much better than his roofs in my book.

It's crazy how such a small modification can make a relatively mild ride look much wilder.

Here's a pic of a 'flaked roof that I have.
I plan on painting the roof of my Acadian wagon white with some metalflake in it.
