I know neither one of these cars is HAMB friendly but they are old and the coupe could be converted easily. I have been trying to sell my 38 Chevy Sedan for a year or so. With the economy, I still own it. I wanted to sell to finance a 40 pickup project but got an offer to trade for this 31 Model A Coupe. I don't need the coupe but maybe it would sell easier than the Chevy sedan. What do you think? I must admit I have always liked A coupes and may fall in love with some changes made.
That's tough, I'd trade for the A simply on the fact that people are more into them...from a sales standpoint it'd be easier to move
hehe, I must admit that your 38 is real nice but damn that A is sweet. I don't think anybody here would hate ya if you traded and kept it
I like both as I own a 35 master sedan. But thats a tuff one. If you really want the coupe ,I say go for it.
Trade before he changes his mind... the resale on the A will ALWAYS be higher than the other car. Higher, and easier to unload. Since you've been stuck with the '38 for a while after trying to sell it, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. -Brad
I'd have to trade, assuming they are both equal in the build quality. The A has some strong points, looks like it was just messed up a little like someone tried to cross a traditional hot rod with a street rod. Lose the front bumper, wheels and tires, and tailights. It looks like those are widend rear fenders, if so, they got to go. I'd personally put a duece shell on it as well. Nothing wrong with your 38, nice car but it might be good to change things up a bit.
Damn, you're in a quandry! Both are really nice looking hot rods too! If you have a family, keep the sedan. If it's just you and your significant other go for the coupe. You have the "problem" we all envy?
I had a model A coupe. I'd keep the 38 if it were me. As far as resale goes, you'll probably have a bigger market for the coupe, but I have to say, that based on the photo's the 38 should be worth more money to a person that actually has disposable income....I don't have any disposible income, but if both cars were for sale at the same price, I'd buy the sedan.
As much as I have experienced other people's 'work', I'd be real careful before trading - "better the devil you know than the one you don't"...
I cant say..because i discriminate, i have always loved the Ford A's tuff choice no doubt. but you could also be stuck with the A too in this economy..and if that were the case would that work for you?..got a family?..cant pack em in the A' but that sedan you can.. good luck on your choice.
