I was at a friends shop yesterday....I walked right by an everyday looking '76 GMC Pick up and spotted a 354 Hemi Grille? WTF!....I asked the owner if it was a joke and low and behold he popped the hood and there it was....Guess you can't judge a book by it's cover....kinda of cool but at the same time a waste....
Since Hotrod magazine has a Camaro on every cover just about. What about a 392 hemi in a RS/SS Camaro with Halibrand wheels and a quickchange? Dare to be really different?
One of the cleanest Hemi swaps I have seen was many years ago in the parking lot of the parts house. The guy had the hood up and was talking with a counter guy about a radiator hose for the 331 in his 53 Chev SW. The engine looked as though the factory had installed it... .
A HAMBer friend's dad has a pink pro-street '67 Chevy II with a blwon injected 392 Hemi. It's ugly but man does it haul ass!!
"Im going to go into my living room, curl up in the fetal position and sob now..." <!-- / message -->They say the truth hurts the most, I don't make the rules. Sob my friend, sob.
I'd probably do the same thing, if I had a 354 Hemi and nothing around to install it in, but a GMC pickup. Looks like a nice install, in any case, O/T or not.
