Out driving the 37 this past weekend, beautiful day, Sipping on a Pepsi, stopped for a stop light, The lady behind me didn't!!!! She was real quick to ask if we could settle without getting the insurance co. involved. I called the cops, she provided the cop a proof of ins card. Got the police report today, you guessed it NO INSURANCE. Rear bumper, brackets ,rear body panel and deck lid. Just had to tell someone!!!!

so what happens do these people get they're license pulled for no insurance or what?

  7. I know that had to make for a bad day ... sorry it happened.

But ... you know ... I was marvelling at how well that bumper did its job.
I know it's a hassle and takes a bite out of the wallet, but it looks like that bumper protected the body, which is good.

At ant rate, I guess I'm tryin' to see the positive side ... still wished it hadn't happened.:(

Added: Whoops ... I see where it DID damage the body
panel ... that low down B!&ch

    NOOOOOOOO way are you crazy.
the state gets mooooolah for a fine or 2 & they continue to let them drive so they can fine them again & again. they dont care about the property they damaged the owner is on his own to collect but the state want their money ASAP!

It is amazing how the bumper and brackets absorbed the impact, The bumper kissed the trunk and put a softball size dent in the rear body panel, I spoke with the County Atty a few minutes ago, He gave me her court date and asked me to be sure and bring 2 estimates to his office asap. If all else fails I'll
turn it in to Grundy and let them go after her!! If she cant afford ins she probably cant afford to pay for my damages!!

In AZ uninsured motorist only covers personal injury.

Are you sure your neck or back don't hurt?

  23. that is not true. in ca you have to add uninsured motorist to your policy or it's not covered. if your agent told you that you need a new agent.

My bel air got hit outside a restaurant one night. my bumper did not stand up as well as yours. Mine was a hit and run though. I thought full coverage would have covered it, but there was a fine print note that said "does not cover hit and run" so i tried blaming joe doe (john's brother), that did not work either. If you are poor, i understand. make me payments or come mow my lawn. Just make your debt right.

That really sucks and I'll bet you anything she was on her cell phone. Just seems like it's typical for something like this to happen to a hot rodder.

When I put insurance on my coupe I took out full coverage. So if some dip shit hits my car I would not be screwed had the value set at 25k for now until I have her painted.

In TX the fine is $500 bucks I think, cheaper than a years of insurance. Most of em just take the chance. Politicians passed this "great" law that says you "gotta" have insurance but then allow companies to sell it month to month so what happens, f--kers buy it for one month when their tags and inspection are due and screw it the rest of the time. Another great job government did of "protecting" us.
