I'd like to see some long roofs done. I know there aren't a lot of kits out there, but that makes it that much tougher.

  8. You would be amazed what can be done with some sheet styrene and a little imagination.
This is just one build competition, there will be more.

    75 voters already!

It's time to browse thru the kits to make sure that I have something to build whatever the outcome will be! Maybe this can be the key to a finished model to put on the shelf... I really hope so :)

  11. Looks like wagons are rated pretty high,, HRP

wish we could do trucks but i'm not quite finished with mine yet. i think it would qualify with either trucks or 55-57 chevy. depends on what everyone else wants to do. wagons will be interesting tho.

This sounds like just what I need --I haven't built anything in quite a while.I've got a couple hundred kits in my garage, and need a good excuse to start one.Let's pick one and get at it!

  16. I voted for the longroofs, dont think I have seen any built.

    Bump(erette) :)

Really nervous about the outcome, I love everything on the list but I haven't built any longroof (ever) or custom (in many years).... it's about time!

something seems fishy here! Like when this thing first started, not many votes for long roofs, now, boom! Either way I really don't care, I think I might enter this time, since i got hit with the ice storm last time and couldn't finish my project for the last build off.

I was pulling for the 40 ford..but then that was a wash due to the low votes lol. Gotta admit, there arent many long roof /delivery kits out there, most will end up with resin bodies Im sure.

What it comes down to is...it is just rarely seen.

There are prizes this year for the winner of the buildoff regardless of which topic is voted winner.

Peter pan of Chicago is tossing in a awesome Tin sign

Il toss in a 41 willy's body..painted and weathered by me.

Hmm, longroofs is not that bad after all - there is a bunch of kits available: 1955-1957 Nomads, JoHan's 1960 Plymouth/1961 Olds (maybe expensive), 1929/1931/1941/1948 Woody's, 1965 Chevelle/Lincoln (maybe too new), 1933/1954 Chevy Panel, 1960 Delivery Streetfighter... probably a lot more :) Maybe it's time to get that 1941 Woody out of the closet!

  27. Look out folks, Johnny's comin' out of the longroof closet.
I went looking online last night, and was pleasantly surprised at what I found.
Regardless of how this poll turns out, I think the bar has been set pretty high.

would a '40 ford sedan count as a long roof?

  29. Sedan Delivery would for sure.
