One of my favorite old buddies in the world passed away recently. He was not a hoarder and was actively buying, selling, and parting out great parts and sending them all over to grateful customers nationwide. He was a long time vendor at big swap meets like Hershey, Carlisle, and other big venues. In recent years his heart condition kept him closer to home. Always gave me lots of free advice and sold me alot of cool stuff over the years. Anyway today I went to visit his wife who also a good friend and favorite person of mine. She will decide soon whether to have an auction or not. She has asked me to help. Too early to tell but an auction is certainly possible. I am posting some photos of some of the outdoor items for you guys and gals to see. There are some very cool and rare items inside the many buildings but this will give you a good idea. He was fond of Fords and not so much of Chevy but you will find a few. <center>

Well, there's the IHC truck I want. I'd bet the FTE crowd would be interested as well.

Sorry to hear of the circumstances involved, too.

My condolences on the loss of your friend. Looks like a lot of stuff there, hope the economy does not sour an aution and relinquish it all to the crusher.

    Good luck.

Thank you. Our economy is not all that bad here and so far the auctions have yielded very high prices. Never know for sure.

You should try to work out a deal with the widow; for a percentage, you catalog and internet some of the stuff. Maybe make more complete packages; Put all those doors back on the lot of doorless pickup cabs and you'd net a better overall price than auctioning doorless cabs and pairs of doors in an auction. Same possibly for grouping hoods with front fenders for front clips.

looks like he led a fun life of doing what he loved. The good part is, most of his parts are going to go to guys who had the same passion. I don't think I've seen that many AD chevy parts piled up like that before

That is very sad to hear. I bought a few parts off him over the years, they would even stop by to drop off the parts I wanted on there way to swap meets to save me from driving to the swap meet.

  25. Sorry to hear about the loss. Is there a drivers door for a 35-37 Ford pickup. I am still trying to locate 1 for a buddy's fathers truck.

Give us a heads-up on the auction... I'm looking for a Magic Air heater setup or radio for a '48 - '50 Ford pickup...
