Does anyone know if the lower cowl and lower rear quarter patch panels will work from a 36 chev since they don't reproduce 36 Olds parts....Or is the olds a bigger car??
I am not sure if its a 6 cyl or 8 cyl body..I have no frame and front sheetmetal....It just says body by Fisher
My pontiac is a model 2601 (6cyl). Model 2801 is an 8 Not sure if Olds is the same but on mine the model # is on the firewall.
The one behind the door looks close, I'd be looking for a 36 Chevy and make a pattern. See if someone with one will do it on paper and send it to ya. I sold mine or I would.
The car really looks like a 36 chev 3 window...except for the rear tail pan...anybody on here have a 36 chev 3 window??? I would like to compare some measurements if at all possible.... This is a Chev
I'm not entirely sure but I'd be willing to bet that they're close enough to get them to fit. I think my 35 Pontiac is pretty much the same except for the fenders, grill, etc..
The Buick, Olds, and Pontiacs were all bigger cars than the Chevies/Fords... But a patch panel from a donor Buick or Pontiac should work.
I know one thing... its a bitch to find doors for....I have a set of 36 Chev sedan doors that might be getting used and just change the door tops and the body line in the rear quarter to match the doors...The belt line in the 39 chevys is the closest thing I have found...its almost exact...probably not even enough to notice....
