Fender Well Headers Picture Post...Let's See What's Out There!!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by BloodyKnuckles, Mar 28, 2009.

  1. I love fender well headers. I am looking for different examples so I could get some ideas for my own set.

I would love a thread dedicated to fender well headers. So let's see them.

    Thanks,

  2. I guess I'm the only one who likes them?

in on one. i love 'em and need to make a set for my 61 Falcon. I would normally use the openings left by ditching the shock towers for the solid axle setup, but now i've got a 6 inch setback through the firewall to deal with as well. So the rear tubes have to run forward a good bit.

These are from a project that was sold. They were originally for 55-57 Chevs. They are Mr Gasket Co headers. The drivers side has a higher bend to go over the steering shaft. I still have them and want to use them on another project.

  18. How are the Speedy Bill BBC fenderwell ceramic coated? Thinking of using a set that style but concerend that the price is indictive of the quality? Seems like a really good deal and need input. I am planning on using some like that on Project '42 Chevy

I guess these are fenderwell headers - maybe more like whole wheel opening headers:D

I used Patriot Fenderwell Headers that were designed for a SBC in a 38-41 Ford. They fit fine in my Dodge.

406" Pontiac in a '40 Plymouth 2dr Sedan at 10% setback...made from scavenged tubing and modified Hooker header flanges...still need to build the correct length collector...the headers are a tight fit to the frame, but the engine is solid mounted, so no worries there...
