I just finished wiring my 51Tbird and after seeing a couple of people building motorcycles on here I figured I'd shoot pics and do a simple wiring tech

I'm running batteryless with a mag and a tympanium

here we have the tympanium unit with 4 wires (concealed under seat)

red is my power...brown is my ground (anywhere on frame)

2 outside yellow hook up to the 2 coming out of the stator (either one in this instance)

    inline fuse for power line

2 coming from stator out of back of primary go to 2 yellow on the tympanium

notice the wire coming off of the mag which goes to a kill switch on the handlebars

  2. Cool!
I'm gonna run a mag and a PODtronics....

    Thanks for postin'!

    and

here we have the black(power) going to the 2 doublered which is power for the lamp switch

the one under is the mag kill

green to green and black to black from the switch to the lamp..

grounded the lamp at the neck stop

Excellent info with credibility provided by your wrench turnin',busted thumb knuckle in the "inline fuse" photo!

    One comment...

Use shrink connectors, and if your one of those guys that color codes everything, slide a shrink tube of the right color over the connection and never worry about corrosion again.

Hi to one and all! I have an old 59 Triumph T100R. I bought it with a hard tail bolted on and a motor which needed wiring. I have followed the diagrams in the back of my motor manuals but still have problems -- Is there anyone out there who can help??
    Thank you!

This thread is a few years old, the OP probably deleted them from his account long ago. You might try asking on www.jockeyjournal.com. It's the sister site of the HAMB for bikes. Lotta Trump guys over there
