A great shot of "Fats" Conner's "Batcar" Camaro launching. The second photo is a good shot of the lanes and the foot bridge.

OK guys, this is probably it for me until Monday.
Here is the "Eckard & Kirk" Rod Shop Funny, Ed Kyle's '55 Chevy "War Wagon" and a pair of Gassers. The Anglia is Eckard & Kirk, pre-Rod Shop days.

Yeah, I remember seeing that Dodge at the Road Devils deal at NTR. I love the old pictures. Super neat stuff. I went to the Springnationals there for years. I remember surviving the cold, floods, heat, tornados, you name it.......it was there. I think there was a year way back when that they sold out and stopped selling tickets. Guys were stopping 18 wheelers out on route 40 and crawling up on top watch the races. Then the people broke thru the fence on the east side. We were on the top of the pit side grandstand and you could see the people coming in like a wave. It was cool!

Well, another Monday, another series of photo posts.
the twin rail is wild for sure, but it looks like he got treed on this run. Wish I had more info about the drivers in these pics, maybe someone with a good memory will chime in.

I know there was a class name for the dragsters with bodywork like the T-bucketish job in the 1st pic, but damn if I can remember what it was.

Were they called comp cars as in A/C. There were a few that ran at the old track at Sidney (OH) but I can't remember either. Did ya notice all the trash in the picture of the staging lanes. It wasn't like that soon after that. NTR was one of the cleanest tracks that we went to for National events. Now they're all pretty clean. I guess there has been at least one change over the years the was positive.

Ah, the ol' "Lick 'Em & Stick 'Em" car. IIRC Dude's family owned the Playboy Club in Cinicinatti. Made for a great pit crew.

Gordon "Collecting" Collet in the first pic, blown Pontiac power in the 2nd shot, and a blown SOHC Ford in the 3rd. Beautiful engine.

Here's a few more pics of that wild AA/Comp dragster. Note in the 3rd pic it is running without bodywork from the engine forward.

These pics should blow up to a frameable quality at 8.5" X10", just print 'em out on a good printer on photo-quality paper. If that does not work, PM me.
