That is cool...... Question, My hood is done, and no I did not do it. How hard was it to keep on line with the row? I like the the look, but it does take structural strength away from the flat hood surface if over done. Please post more Pics as you go. Good Luck!
i will post more pictures. i plan on puting about 130 or so in this hood. its kinda hard to make sure its square but we scriped lines in the hood to line up with the dye in the punch
"I like the the look, but it does take structural strength away from the flat hood surface if over done." Remember, all of the hood bracing is removed BEFORE the louvers are punched and then reinstalled after the fact. No loss of integrity or strength that I've seen.
it's very hard to keep them in line. You'll take a good bit of time laying out during setup, I use ChemDye and a scribe. You need to take your time, it's not a quick process. I recently got mine setup so I can do it solo after loading the hood. Check and double check as you go. It's easy to fuck up a good hood. Louver press upgrade... Interantional hood. what he said on that part....
ya we see so far that it takes time we have over 30 minutes in 23 louvers and that doesn't include the setup or removing the bracing.
