I bought this one yrs ago for the front bumper, Old Bell Tell van, came from Cal, NO rust, no glass, scraped my 65 rust rucket for this 68 GMC, put in a 76 Buick V/6 cruse control, intermittant wipers all the glass. Had the option speedo with the the adjustable needle so when you went up to that speed a buzzer went off warning you that Smokey was watching. I just scraped it and used the axles on my new Pk Up build. Also had Buick style finned drums out of cast iron and not aluminum front and back.

Oh man, You don't even want to get me started on the whole van thing. I'm buying a 72 Econoline in a month or so after we do our taxes. Full blown 70's style. Can't wait. Till then, here's some stuff to tide you all over. The White Econo is just a mock up. The Brown Chevy is Dean from Dice Magazines van. The Blue Econo is the one I'm buying and a quick mock up of what I'm going to do to it.

Drove a 61 Econo pickup for about 5 years. It had a 144 and was fun as hell around town, but sure would cry on the highway or up a hill !!! Finaly put a 200 in it and ran great. Wish I never let it go. I've got 3 Econo van projects here now, 2 65's and a 67 -- you just can't work on them when you load the shit out them with parts !!! They sure do hold a LOT of stuff....

Yep, got a '61 Econoline van sitting at the back of my farm loaded with parts. Really too nice a van to just sit and rot away, but it's hard to find anyone that wants one unless its mint and show-ready

  24. My son's Dodge A100 window van. Has a 225 with a 3-speed. Heater & two-speed wipers are about the only options...

Not a runner yet, but we are not in a big hurry!

  25. When we were teens (70s) we were going to paint VANGINA down the side of my dads van before we borrowed it to go cruisin one Friday night. Thank goodness we chickened out at the last minute, Im sure that one would have bit us in the ass if we followed through with it.

The Harem 6-wheeled Ford was sent to the junkyard in the 80's after it's owner passed on. Very sad.
