History fiberglass

How traditional are: QUESTION 1 fiberglass frontends on gassers? QUESTION 2 fiberglass roadster bodies?

 

Fiberglass T's and Austins were available in 1960, Gasser parts in 62-63...

First time I remember seeing fiberglass on other than a corvette, was a dunebuggy. So fiberglass dunebuggys are traditional dunebuggys for me.

 

My opinion is that traditional is a theme, or state of mind.
As long as you don't try to represent it as original, I don't have a problem with glass cars. I would think that the front ends of most 60s Willys gassers were glass. Also most altereds were glass too.

From what I understand the first glass T body came out in '57 and was in an ad in Hot Rod magazine.
