Just got back from LA to see my new French flathead run and it sounded fantastic, which made a great trip even better. Mike from H&H gave us the grand tour of his shop and said it will ship the end of the week. Can't wait still lots to do! I have to say the pictures just don't do the motor justice.
C"MON GUY!!! Don't leave us hangin!!!! you get us all excited with the juicy picture then leave out all the details!!!. I'm somewhat aware of the french n.o.s. deal but how big is it? what did it cost ya, how much to ship it? How do I get mine? And what kind of car would I want to put it in? Ahhhh just the important details for now please.
Lets see, details, went with 4 1/8 SCAT crank 3 5/16 bore (284ci) with Ross pistons, 1.5 SS valves, Navarro 3x2 intake with three of the new 97's, polished Navarro heads and the spark from MSD ready to run. This motor should put out about 200 hp and it's going in my F-1 with a T-19 backing it up. I'll find out tomorrow final cost and shipping. These thing are'nt cheap but there pretty much bullet proof. Give Mike a call @ H&H.
HD, I love the two tone paint on your F1, is it a 51 or 52? Please post up some more pictures of it. It is some great inspiration for me to get my 51 F1 going. Josh just noticed your avatar, nice 51.
Thanks Man, first impression people thinks is black & white. The actual color is Heron Gray a 1960 356 Porsche color. When the weather break I'll take some more.
I dig the colors on your truck. I plan on doing my 49 GMC the same way, a subdued grey cab and bed, black fenders and running boards. Rich
great video....I'm ready for another flathead powered car - it's been a really long time. I'll have to give them a call. what a great sound. dj
Napier, great town. I was down there in 89', what a beautiful place to cruz. The roads there are crazy.
