my last post was entitled "last shoebox update for a while"...well..i've gotten a couple of emails asking what i've been doing,,,so i thought i'd contradict my last post and show what i've been up to,,,,i was tired of staring at the big gaping hole in the deck area,,i was going to deal with this later,,but i got inspired and thought i'd give it a shot...basically, its been widened and lenghtened,,it took sheetmetal from 3 decklids to pull it off,,,,not finish welded yet,,,but just about ready to be,,,,,,starting to look more and more like a rocketship....:)

btw,,,the name in the title of the post is what the car will be called,,,Telstar was a communications satellite, and XM7 is a tribute to my kustom idol Bob Metz,,he built a radical buick back in the 50s called the XM5............

You should build a car from the parts you took off! Lord knows, you could build a car with the parts you bought and sold and didn't use, I've got some!!! I'll call my truck the Hand Me Down!

It's the working fast that does it...if you sit around long enuff and simply contemplate...you get older...

    Car is looking great man!

Now that you mention it, it does look related to Bob Metz' old Buick from the rear. :D

Those taillights really work on that car. Usually it's Olds tail lights making their way onto Ford quarters, I've never seen it the other way around before.

You're going to need one of those 55 gallon drum sized wire spools to do all the welding on this car, and it'll be worth every tack.
