Man, that thing is going to be cool.

  9. 1000!!!!! Wooo fuckin wooo!!!

    Alright, back on track.

Earl Schieb, you've got nothing to worry about, I'll make you proud. I'm thinking of removing the vinyl top and spraying a really heavy silver flake.

    Laydrag, think about it!

I love street freaks but it will be moderately raised and stretched.

    PBRmeASAP...I think you're gay.

Evilone...ask Jeffery James, he'll tell you that I have tons of money and don't need to work!!:D

Everyone else thanks for the vote of confidence. I'm hoping you won't be disappointed.

Also I was looking at the firewall and the stock set-up is seriously congested. When I removed the fan and heater core it gave me tons of room. I will probably also remove the windshield wipers and motor.

So my question for you guys is...Is there an HVAC system that is self contained that can be mounted under the dash to completely eliminate the under hood mess?

    Thanks again.

I'm watchin' too! Those cars could use all kinds of improvements, I drove 'em in H.S. Isn't that a '62 or is my memory AFU?

  14. What would make you think that it was a '62? It is a '61 but is there some sort of marking that I'm not aware of? I am curious. There is a limited amount of info on theses cars.

"All kinds of improvements" is an understatement.

My dad had a '61 and it looked different. we had two '62s and they looked just like yours except hardtops. one was a factory (t10) four speed. I'll find some pics if I can and post 'em.

The only thing better than a gasser is a wierd unusual one. That car is a good looking car as is, but will be even better when you're done with it. I can't wait to see it.

Now i'm thinking about gassin' my '58 Commander HT... tempting... dammit...

The smaller Vintage Air setups should work. They have the dimensions on their website as well, so you can measure and see for sure.

    Ron that's gonna be cool.

Maybe you could call it the "Pasta Peddler" or the "Stompin' Wop"

Looks good bro keep us posted.

  19. WOW Ron! This is gonna be wicked!
I think you've got the advantage over Dave since you're "not cutting" and just going with "bolt-ons" . You should be done in a couple of weeks.:D
What a birthday presant for Heather...driving her gasser to Dixie Fried '09:cool:

  20. Now they also made the "Special". It has different tail lights but is mostly the same.

Dvanecek, Stompin' Wop...fuckin right doggie!! Or maybe the "Flying Pierogi"?

Zman, thanks for the heads up. I'll check into them.

I plan to hit the shop again tomorrow by myself. I should be able to get some stuff done.

hEY Ron! I have heard about a self contained unit that is used in planes but dont know anything bout it. you might look up some hobby plane stuff to get you started. The electric cars have to have someting like that i would think. maybe put it in the trunk??? Good luck and congrads on the 1K

  26. Well boys, I've got a 401! I'm a very happy man right now.

I bought a complete 1961 Buick Electra 4 door hardtop with air, power everything, POSI rear :), finned drums, the whole nine yards!!

So I'm thinking of adapting the finned drums to the straight axle and using the rear if it's not too wide.

Maybe I'll call it "The ElectraLark"

    More news at 11....

Good score bro. That 215 would look great in a modified. Maybe pick up a Rover twin SU sidedraft intake.
