Event Coverage D/FW Folks - Autorama!!

Looks like I'm gonna try to make it Friday afternoon. We have plans for Saturday and Sunday already. Hope to run to some of you folks there. I'll put on a HAMB t-shirt so maybe I can meet some of you guys I dont know.

 

The wife and I will be out there thursday night, see y'all there!

im in for making bigger and better next year.

Big props to Fidgiter for making this happen. when I was growing up I always dreamed of going to any of the Autoramas

Now that i can its good there will be badass cars and people there

 

Any one else driving their car 50 plus miles to enter it in an autorama???

 

Sorry to be the one that has to break the news everyone....the Autorama has been canceled. The show car guys heard about us being there on the radio and got so mad they pulled out. They were afraid of the dust we might bring with us and didn't want to have to clean there cars every hour. Without them there's not enough to have a show so they had to shut it down.

Yeap thursday afternoon with a new tone too,

Rain would not let up tonight so looks like I will have to clean the ole sedan up tomorrow. This is gonna be a cool year.

Got the bike cleaned about as good as it will get and switched tanks so it will be sporting a new paint job. I'll prolly be there early Thursday. Question though do I need to bring ropes to section it off?

 

Only if you want to. Some are, some are not.

We are putting some up....don't want a bunch of grubby little kids climbing on our cars.

 

Jamie, no rope for you as your bike will be used for the free childrens picture prop..

May not make it out though, has to happen to me.. weekend of the first good Autorama in years.. and I have to go pickup a barn find of a lifetime.. darn.

Hopefully the loading will go well and I'll be able to tell you all about it in person.. if not, maybe next week.

Guys, i fly back in from Cali tonight and land at D/FW at 6:30pm - i'll haul ass to Frisco, drain some gas, and haul ass down the tollway to the Market Hall. If it's going to be cramped and hard to get in the cars in there, i may have a tough time navigating by all the mirrors to our designated spot... if we hare shoved in a corner, try and leave me an outer perimeter spot (if possible) since i'll be getting in late.

I'll be up there this afternoon helping set up a non-hambish car that we just finished here at the shop. I really wanted to bring a 57 chevy but we didn't have enough time to get her painted. Oh well next year...

I would like to do a raffle for Hamb members (or general crowd) that show for a complete media stripping service here at the shop. Maybe it's a little to late..?

 

I'm sure there will be a Hamb choice award...right? Proceeds could go to the winner?...

Dropped my car off this morning easy drove into the spot done first one.Even received a cool aluminum plaque .

I will be in San Antonio Friday and Sat, grand-son who is a sophomore at North Mesquite made state honors in the choir .. gotta go and see this deal.. should be back and make it to the Sunday show... dont let anyone take their cars home early...lol

 

Well its a toss up for me Friday night between the Autorama or the Vagina Monologues at SMU.......decision, decisions........
