the first three were wayyyyy too easy. #4 Mustang taillight bezels. #5 slips my mind and #6 is from a model car magazine contest to name the car. the kid thought "Deora" ment "Golden" in spanish. he was wrong but the name stuck.

 

i think i remember. Bradley wanted to call it "XTAB" for eXperemental Truck by the Alexander Brothers. right???

oh and i forgot you wanted the name of they guy who named it "Deora" that was David Hagedorn..

i just read all about this thing somewhere, but i can't remember where. i'm surprised i rememebr any of this though.

correct on #4, #5 was XTAB (expeimental truck by alexander brothers) and #6 was 13 year old David Hagedorn who entered it through Car Model Magazine.

 

Harry Bradley was also Mattel's first designer working on Hot Wheels. When it came to choosing the first wave of cars, Deora was one that Harry obviously knew all about!

 

I think it would be kool dadd-o to have a triva question on monday mornings (even though I'll never be able to answer any of the questions cause I don't know shit). I learn alot from these kind of posts.

 

We'll do again next week and see how it goes. I'll see if I can come up with a little harder questions. We'll run it a while if the postage don't break me.

I think all the answers are on your site, so I won't cheat, but it might get you some traffic! I still haven't found any more pictures of it in Green for you...

 

I see that none of my questions can be answered by mere mortals! Too bad, as I could get some real toughies for y'all!
