  1. Do you mean Snuggies?

The way I see it, the way the economy is, I'm not gonna sit back and watch a bunch of people get paid a bajillion dollars to throw a ball around.

Football sucks. The only balls I like playing with are my own.

Well, at 0700 my son and I took the 27 Roadster down to the casino so he could place his doofy five dollar Superbowl prop bets and I could win $50 on video poker. From there we went over the the impromptu hot rod get-together in the big parking lot behind the Dunkin' Donuts at Craig and Jones. We wandered around there and took a look at the nearly 100 vehicles that had shown up and enjoyed the period music that was playing. Everything shows up - even a some TIThead it a freakin Prowler....there were actual rat rods there, a few goodlooking customs, some NOT so goodlooking. That casual encounter of the third kinds is done right around 1000hrs, so then it was over to Albertson's to get some last minute snacks where a nice blonde told me that I had a brake light out and that my car was 'cute' (but who didn't already know THAT?). Done standing in line and off to the house to cut up vegetables, summer sausage, three kinds of cheese, olives, crackers, chips...my wife's very excellent spinach dip, some of my Hidden Valley Ranch dip...some sparkling cider, diet coke, 31-40 shrimp with cocktail sauce. All that was made ready, and it was time to turn the game on...that's what we've been doing to this point - although my wife did fade away for ten minutes to talk to her dear sweet mother in Edmonds, WA who has no clue that it's SuperBowl day and just calls to chat. Son and I are oblivious to most of this. I have time to get on there to 'check in' because I don't care for Bruce Springsteen in the least, and I think the half time shows have been superlame for about thirty years. I'm old - I watched the first SuperBowl and with the exception of maybe two, have seen every one of them since that time. Hot rodding in the morning, and football and snacks in the afternoon - life is good...but then, it always has been.

    Have a good weekend HAMBers....

I work on the hotrod while the game is on and stop for commercials. Then I will cheer for the underdog in the forth quarter.

I use the TV as background noise while I surf the HAMB

  13. Who the hell cares who wins, at the end of the day you still wasted 4-5 hours on watching some overpaid jocks play a game. I didnt like jocks in school and I dont like them now. I think sports are the biggest waste of time and money!! I played sports in school and it was ok but didnt join any teams even though I probably could have been better than most of the people ( jocks) but then I went out and got a job after school and earned what I got. The jocks usually got everything given to them from their parents. Thats how it was in my school.

  14. Isn't that a bunch of guys showering together and playing with balls?

Bowling isn't much of a spectator sport to me... oh  ... football?

Football isn't either. I'd much rather watch reruns of Pinks on TV.

Got half the floor board in my hot rod done. Hell I even got a television in the shop. but if I turn it on don't get nothing done. I lost interest in football a few years back when it looked like the refs played the game.

My ADD won't allow me to sit still long enough to watch any sporting event. Building hot rods lets my mind be as active as it wants.

Sounds like some are still bitter about not being cool in HS and getting laid by the hot girls.

Ball sports are great, this one is becoming a snoozer in the second half...so I'm on the JJ.....
