I'd suggest getting as close to Congress Ave, as possible... or even better, right on Congress! I stayed at the Austin Motel last year and hope to get a room there again this year. It's right by all the night-time action. The sign is shaped like... well, you get the idea haha

I had no idea how close stuff was to the action. Tried to get rooms on Congress but could not find any so I got rooms over on Montopolis by the airport. Was only about a finger away on my map. Road Kill Where you're at is roughly 5 to 8 highway minutes from Congress... Can't make promises about the crowds on Congress but it shouldn't be too bad. Also the drive from Montopolis to the actual fair grounds will be easy for you. Good luck Katie

Anyone know who will be at the Continental club on Friday night? Will be getting to austin on Thursday and making a day of it on Friday because my son's prom is Saturday back here in Houston
Going to have to leave around noon on Saturday after hitting the show bright and early.We had been planning this trip since last year's roundup and when the school announced the date of the prom we couldn't believe it was the same day.Don't they know that this is the roundup weekend
