Flaked and laced Impala roof.

    I didn't know you started a tech thread on your roof. (Must have been sleepin.) Thanks for showing what is involved and the steps you went through. I have been collecting pics of laced and flaked panels, so when it comes time to do the paint on my car, I can select the one I like the best. Yours is now saved in my folder!
    Maybe I can even get you to help me out with layin it down.

    BTW it looks way better in person!

    Looks really close to the roof my buddy did on his all white '63 Impala, back in 1969. I love the look. Period perfect!

    20+ years ago at Vo-Tech we had a 65?Valiant? wagon that the roof got painted black, then we took some lace(looked like a table lace with a flower design) stretched it over the roof & sprayed yellow to match the rest of the car.
    Finished it was a yellow car with a black flowered roof, looked neat at the time.
