I'd cut the quarters off and send them to that guy building a coupe out of a pickup cab.

Yeah, "it looks like Slamcouver is making friends with the bear by submitting to the natural urges of the Grizzly. Curiously, his screaming seems to heighten the bears pleasure. Join us next week when we go aboard the Calypso and watch breeder frolicking with dolphins."

    Sorry, couldn't resist...:D

I would look at the den as an opportunity rather than a deterrent.
Good chance to pick up some of those "bear claw" latches everybody's ravin' about.

Maybe the Grizzly hauled it outta the underbrush to use as bait...

Tearing off into the woods for something like that is what I live for...of course I only expect to fight off Squirrels and Wasps. (Although there is SUPPOSED to be a black Panther prowling the other side of the island...)

  12. Awesome story so far, hope it's real. That would make one hell of a story to tell your grand kids.

    looks like a real adventure...

I've got an Uncle with a flatbed crane truck... that is the kind of setup you need... just carry the body to the cliff and hook the crane cable up and lift it out in one piece!

You've got your camera to take pictures of the bears innerds and a sawall to cut your way back out. Nothing to worry about.

Dude, that car belongs to the bear
and he is a member here on the HAMB.
I recall him saying he was in the process
of restoring it as soon as he gets done hibernating.

Here's a pic of his Buick Gran Sport that he restored a few years back.

Damn... This is what I was thinking....

    Again.. quicker'n I am today!

Now this is just too funny here.

I agree with those who say block and tackle, but I'll do you one better - use gin poles and a winch to just pull it up the hill. Work like a charm!

I'd probably do it your way too... cheaper that way.

After that I looked around to get my "BEAR"ings.

Got it cut down into pieces. started too look like real crap but only the bottoms are rusted out. A GREAT! find for the PNW.
Now came the huge undertaking of scaling the cliffs to get out. and this is just the bottom imagine about 4 frames higher is the road.
