I can send pics of the little tool I made to flatten the radius on the pv.

  6. Scooter,

Have a look carefully at this pic, the red highlighted area shows the little step or lip that stops the moden power valve from going in. All you need to do is carefully grind this away with a dremmel or a bit in a air grinder etc. I cut the top off an old power valve and inserted it into the hole to protect the threads against a slip of the grinder. There is more then enough mean in there to not worry toooo much about going through with the grinder into a passage. Just take it easy and keep putting the new PV in to check progress.

  7. Mate, if you modify the channel the nut sits in against the bowl (see my prev post) you can use modern PV's when ever you want.

  8. Any chance you could post them here for future posterity?

Trying to learn more about this PV situation.
First, does Napa sell the old school PV's with the smaller radius? Would anyone have part numbers?

Second, my set-up involves a sling-shot dual carb intake. Had the same issue with the PV's. Would replacing one of the PV's with a plug, eliminate the vacuum issue? Also, would it resolve any imbalance, during acceleration?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
