IMO, the slicks look better on that pick-up than the Firestones.

The car doesn't have enough motor mass (visually) for the slicks.
    Go with the stones.

Slicks go with the headers and intake setup more than the treaded skinnies. is that an RB motor?

Slicks, it adds some "mass" to the back of the car. (ditch the headers, it makes the eye focus on them and not the overall flow of the car!):)

A big block with 2 4barrels isnt enough visual mass for slicks? Sorry, but even without knowing anything about the engine I would say it makes close to 500 lb ft of torque, if its a built 440 could be much more. I think it needs bigger slicks, taller

I agree somewhat, I think the headers should have collectors on them. They seem torn between being zoomies and fenderwell.
    Just my mopar lovin' opinion

Slicks if it's with a roll-cage. Otherwise, 'stones.

The 440 is mild.. the headers are what the customer wanted..so they stay... No cage... Jason.

  12. Man that was a tough decision...both look great but if I had to choose I picked the slicks.

with a 440 mopar that car needs some Halibrands or 5 spokes and blackwalls... with the wide whites it is mixing styles that don't go together IMFO

If he's going for a traditional look, the slicks are way too wide! Firestones all the way.

Can we vote on the goofy pipes?

No vote on the pipes... The owner doesn't know what traditional look is.. He just picks what he likes...He came in wanting to build a "Rat Rod"...

+1 on ditch the hedders. They really take away from the complete look of the car and all anyone will remember is the homemade looking set of hedders and not the car.

I'm not talking fit and finish or detail on the hedders because I imagine that up close they are a masterpiece but in the photo they have the appearance they were a total after thought. You know a half rack later "oh yea, lets build some wild looking zoomies for it.

Go with the Firestones and have a serious talk with the owner about the headers.

We are now on to another topic.. Let me here suggestions... not just get rid of them... We can't use a header that drops quick because of steering box. Jason.
