Here is the latest creation out of the shop..It will be inside at Sacramento Auto Rama.. 1927 Chrysler 3 window coupe. chopped 3.5 inches, channeld 4.5 inches, 440 v8, 727 TF trans., 9 inch rear....All aluminum floors and roof insert....interior(the cloth and leather parts) by JimmyZ. The only thing I don't really care for is the rear tires.. I do have him talked into some diff. ones and they will be on before Sac...Have some detail work to do still but I think you can get the idea..Here is a before and a few afters...I got the body off ebay 3 years ago and never had the time for it.8 months ago I had a local guy come in looking for a car and made me an offer I couldn't refuse to build it for him.This is what we have now...The paint almost looks like shiney primer in the pics but is actually a neato blue grey color out in the light....Build pics can be seen on my website....Just thought I would share a little bit.. Looks cool. The headers don't appeal to me and the customer needs to pay you extra for talking him out of those tires. The dash caught my eye and I like the rivet treatment. It seems to work well. Nice ride.
To answer a few questions We lost official count.... It is somewhere around 2500-3500 rivits and stainless button head allens... The headers look a lot better in person when you can see how the fit with the cowl.. Don't dig the car? How many Mopars do you see? Everything can't be Ford. I can't take all the credit, My guys in my shop have put in lot's of hours on this thing..We all started out building our own cars in garages etc.. and have teamed up to put out some pretty cool cars...We built everything from the frame and suspension, to all the body mods, wiring, windshield frame, garnish moldings, aluminum interior,deck lid, door skins, roof treatment(look at before pic above the door and windshield) We even built the wheels....Jason.
Incredible work. I love all old Chrysler products. The 3500 rivets were well used. I wish I owned it. If it were mine, I'd find some long ram manifolds and shorter zoomies. Wonderful job. Lucky667
I like it. I like to see the more unusual bodies rodded. Nobody has to ask if it's real steel since they don't make fiberglass '27 Chryslers. The big cars like your Chrysler have a lot more room in them than a Model T or A Ford, something that is important to a big guy like me (6'5" 260). I can't even get my long fat carcass in my brother in law's '27 T roadster pickup.
