Hanging Your Arm Out The Car Window. Do You?

Don't want leave a sweaty/dirty/greasy spot on the interior door panel....

theres a reason my left arm has no tattoos. the sun would bake the shit out them. I rest my arm on the top of the door een when the window is up. Its comfortable

 

People think your playing with yourself if they cant see your hands.

 

How else are you supposed to push,elbow, or smack those pesky bicyclist that wear those goofy helmets and skin tight shorts and think they own the road,therefore can ride right in the middle of it.. out of your way??

 

Hell Ya. My left arm always has more tan then my right If the top of the door is to hot, I put a cloth under my arm and don't run A/C.

 

cuz it says hot rod. kinda like rolling up your pants.

 

I tried to hang my arm out the window but the car sat so low my knuckles where dragging the ground.

 

My hand would not be on my arm too long..

I can touch the rear wheel..WIRE WHEELS..lose your hand easily.

I stick my elbow out and keep my hand inside. Holding on to the roof is OK. Actually necessary if you are working the suicide knob hard. But just letting your hand flop in the wind sends the wrong message. In some neighborhoods.

No way. Remember seeing the gory photos in Enquirer Magazine in the 60's where they showed what was left of the drivers left arm when it was cut off by another driver who sideswiped his left door.

Yup, it's like a lil' hug.

 

I've done it from day-one driving. Just the elbow and will grab the rain gutter to break up the monotony. I still pull it in if someone gets too close or I don't like the traffic situation.

In stock cars, I'd put my left hand out the window during cautions and cup my hand to funnel in some cooler air into the cockpit.

I tried to do it the American way today, hang my left arm out the drivers window. Scared the hell out of the pedestrians as I drove along the foot path out of control. Think I'll stick to the Aussy way and keep hanging my right arm out there.

No shit! I was out cruising down a backroad in my T-bucket years ago and had my arm resting along the body edge. I hit a bump in the road and my arm slipped off and my fingers hit the rear tire. Ripped a fingernail almost completely off! The blood drops spraying all over the inside of the windshield looked pretty cool, but it hurt like a bitch!
