Projects Progress on Rocky's 34 coupe..last update 9/30/2020

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Rocky, Jan 12, 2009.

  1. My 34, 5 window is coming together...slowly but steady.. I only get very limited time to play with it but we clamped the new SAR quarters and back panel on the new floor and subrails to get an idea of how the back of the car's gonna look. I LOVE it! Still have a LOOOOONG way to go but we're making progress. Got the main floor all rosette welded to the SAR subrails and attached the outer rockers with clecos until we get the cowl in place. My cowl is a piece-a-shit so I'm looking vor a cowl that actually has the front mounting feet left on it. Mine were torched off to make a channelled race car.
Gotta find a better pair of 5 window or 4 door front doors too. The last photo is the passenger side inner quarter where it meets the subrails.

  11. Damn I almost stopped at Jimmy's the other night on my way home. Have not stopped to BS with him in some time.

You just need to give him more money and you will not need more time:)

  18. nice to finally see some pictures, is that spring going to work for ya?

  19. Rocky: Weren't you saying over the summer you was boning out a '40 Ford for parts for that '34? I may be in the need for some of what you can't use now that I'll be keeping the Tudor, especially if you happen to have a historical document. PM me with what you might want to get rid of.

  20. Looks great Rocky!!

  21. Check your PMs Holmes................

  22. Sorry....all I bought was a rusty chassis. Saved the center X from it and have another party interested in it. No paperwork.

  23. All but the main leaf and I got the correct main leaf for it yesterday...thanks

  24. Yeah, John.....they're all gone and converted into 34 ford parts

  25. Am I gonna chop it? HA! Whaddya you think? Yeah, the top is already separated from the car and it's gonna get 4" cut out of it.

Hey man!!! Nice shiny quarters!!!! Looks good!!! Hey, we've got the cowl feet that you're looking for, brand new, not even up on the website yet. The new cowl tops however, are up on the website and ready for your viewing pleasure. Give me a call if you need pricing on the cowl feet. Glad to see the dream coming along!!!
