    Where bubble tops come from...
I'm working on a special project and didn't have a lot of time
for one of my full-blown renderings this week so here's a fun
sketch I did on a coffee break.

From the land of all things round... The BubbleRod!
Not just a bubble top... but a whole bubble body!

O.K. close enough now to friday. The other day I thought I have not done pencil to paper in awhile so...
This is black and white prisma pencil on tan illustration board.

Gary, the bubble is nice but that is one hell of a quick sketch.
Lowcab you are one of the people i enjoy watching for on this and your piece is why. Nice work
Spoggie I like anything with stars in the background that is sweet.

  7. Thank God/ Goddess/ All that is that it's Friday !

Gary- I like that 3 window a lot
'Models on Sunday'. Be good to visit there & have some of those cats visit here.

Time to lift the lid on my shoe- box..

  9. Thanks Lockwood-
Wow- we're off to a good start.
If you haven't already done so I can recommend checking out Saturn through the biggest telescope you can find. Find a dark area ( no moon or street lights ).

  13. I'm putting my toe in the water with Photoshop. Just starting to dabble with the colour box. I'm Still feelin' like Bambi in the big bad woods with Photoshop.

So as a humble beginner I hereby submit a couple of Model T's.

  14. Lockwood- Only the colour !- L.O.L.
Seriously I think that would be a misunderstanding as that's not what I meant. I was thinking more about the experience of wonder to be had seeing Saturn so closely. I'm not sure you can see it too good with the naked eye. I saw it through a 5' 'scope. I's a long way away & it looked very cold to me- a very strange pale blue. And it's bloody huge ! So if you get a chance do yourself a favour & check it out.
P.S. Not quite as bad as the big ugly 'T' shell I've drawn on this black altered !

Impressive start once again! The talent just keeps growing!

Just a simple pencil sketch for a future painting from me this week. The composition was inspired by Robert Bechtle's work.

    Cheers, everyone.

  19. I've got these three to post then i'll stop hoggin'.
    Ubermustang-
I dig the sketch and I enjoy your pictures too. Look forward to more sightings of those good paintings. The roads- eye red fenderless roadster in suburban street is the thing I liked- this Merc sketch you show reminds me of Butch & Honey- Pie's motel room 'split the scene' scene in Pulp Fiction ( -"it's a chopper baby" / "Zed's dead baby.. Zed's dead " ). I think it's the perspective angle. Cool.

Dutch Courage- thanks for so artfully drawing one of my top 5 Fords. Dig Shultz' tuck'n'roll fingers !

Lowcab- that's a sweet drawing- One of those would be in my top five too but I don't fit in 'em.

luckystrike- I'm diggin' the multi- faceted featurism of these panels. The candy over engine turn reminds me of being a little kid when I inched up to the new '67 Holden grille badges which had blue & red translucent plastic over chrome & I'd stare into them. So i've been diggin' candy red & blue since at least 5 years old.

GaryC- I 've got to say it again- that 3W is very good. Speed dosen't kill you..
