that is some interesting info and Thank-You..Would Really love to see some old original pics of the car. Looked through all my old little pages etc found nothing.

My Mom swears that Elvis swapped places with his twinn brother Arron in late 60's. the fat version that died in 70's was not really Elvis but indeed his twin brother. His twin brother was given to a cousin to raise shortly after birth for poverty reasons.

off topic I know but interesting ....maybee my mom needs her meds adjusted ? ?

The windshield is great - curved glass on a 50's hot rod. I have heard that it came from the back of a Chrysler.

    Also love the exhaust.

cant believe no documentation [ pics] of this car from 1939 when Athans first built it.
This may be one of the first traditional hot rods ever built ? ?

  11. So did American Rodder in the nineties, And i saw it at the NHRA-museum in 1999

  12. It wasnt traditionel in 39 :)
And it was built at the same time as Isky built his roadster

The Elvis car was in the Smithsonian a few years ago, not sure if it's still there.

You are correct His Bro never made it. Here is a pic of his Mom, Dad young Elvis in 1939. He was only 4-years old when the Athans Car was built in 39.

Hats off to a cool car that is well deserved of any honors one can give it. You have to really appreciate a car like this just for surviving so many years with out being turned into something else.

  30. How cool is that? "Uh yeah, Elvis drove my hot rod".....
And for those younger than me.... Elvis was the coolest cat in the known universe until he got called up by Uncle Sam.
