This 4 foot high sign hung outside my father-in-laws poultry business for 40+ years.
When I first went out to the small town that my future wife was born in for the dreaded "meet-her-folks" dinner I saw this and said "some day I'll have this sign"
When the old guy finally retired 5 years ago I got it and it now hangs in my 15-year-olds' bedroom [IMG]

I made it only 3 years ago but the image is taken from Frank Kurtis' fab shop doors in the day. The wall mount bracket is a replica of an Offy exhaust manifold flange which is unique with 2 bolt holes each end. Vacuum formed ABS faces, 040 aluminum body, fluorescent tubes inside. Approx 28 x 18" (Arlen, thanks for permission)

I posted some pics earlier in this thread that were mostly Neon and most were taken while on a family trip out west a thousand miles or more from home.

These two photos are from a small Norwegian community (Hanska) 13 miles from my house. I am guessing the building to be late 20's early 30's. Everytime I drive by I envision (fantasize) owning this property and converting it to a home, restoring the facade with full windows, vintage lighting, and awnings. Check out the close up of the stone detail (the camera battery died so I did not get a close-up detail of the right piece of art). Technically not a sign per se, but some beautiful architecture, especially for car people...

Check www.vintageroadside.com they are vendors at rod shows and have classy colorised tee shirts for sale.

For some of us, a tee shirt is as classy as it gets :)!!!!!:)

This sign is the pride and joy of my sign collection. It took me over two and a half years of talkin to the owner to get this thing bought. Once I owned it I had to find a crane to lower it from its 2 fourty foot poles and on to a hay rack, then I had to build a wooden frame to hold it upright for the 30 mile trip home through the country with a top speed of 8 to 10 mph. Then had to reinforce some pallet racking and find a freind with a fork lift. It hadent been lit in years, but when I wired it up I was amased that it still worked.

Jim - Thanks for the kind words! Glad to hear you enjoyed taking a look at our site. The two photos you posted above were a couple of our favorite shots from our Route 66 trip last Fall. Lots of good stuff to see out there.

Here's a couple small signs we have.

This one is an early 1960s Superior Motor Courts "cash register" lighted sign.

This one once hung at the Ozark Drive In Theater in Missouri.

This one came from the Logan Motor Court in Iowa.

The Rotosphere in Salt Lake City is great. Here's an article we have from 1964 showing it when it was brand new.

Rescue from a closed-down, true 'junk dealer' back in the mid '80s in NYState, hanging in my shop (ever since it was built in '92) :
