Nice launch, hang those wheels man! My buddy and I were talking that there should be second beam a foot above the track two feet after the starting beam so if you can't/don't lift em you lose. It'd make for a better show than the bracket racing that usually goes down at the Gas meets...

You and me both... will keep a eye out for your car while looking for info on mine. This is the oldest one I have of it. They must have just narrowed the rear.

I know, you see so many Willys' these days, with all the glass ones, and steel-aluminum recreations but I'd still like to build a pick-up. There was a chopped gray primer one at the Thompson reunion, the guy was having some trouble with it so I didn't talk to him long but man that thing was cool. Nothing fancy just raw and tough looking.

this is my wagon i'm working on. Its a 59 dodge royal lancer that i put the front axle from a dodge d100 pick up under. It has a 440 ci motor w/727 tranny. Its been called street freak and gasser but its both. It sits too high for a gasser but too low for a freak. ijust finished turning it into a 2door by stretching front doors 6 in and shortening back doors the same and welding them solid. i hope tohave it running for summer fun.

This mine a 50 dodge bis coupe 426 wedge, 727 ,8 3/4 posi .Trying to keep old style except for disk brakes on old after market tube axle.I live about 15 miles from the track so this is a street driven car, even though the motor is pretty rad. when this pic was taken it still had the stock drive train.

    Eh Brah,

How's the gasser scene on the Big Island? I was in Hilo in Oct. but never see any gassers or even a rod. We then stayed at Waikoloa for about 6 days but still never see any cars. Wassup? Mahalo, Vic

  29. There is a couple of old race cars around but not alot of rods out all the time ,only one regular cruz night a month. There is guy here who races his altered roadster he built in 65 . Its a model a with a big block mopar . The car is pretty much as he bilt it . Another guy I know is buildig a 55 ford 427 4sp straight axel. We plan on racing at the outlaw drags we have .If you ever come this way again email me or shoot a pm I will show you some rods.
