Great thread. Lots to be inspired by.

 

I plan on running these in my '54 Chevy and a '39 Cadillac gauge cluster in my coupe.

 

great thread... this is where i'm at with my project t and have been brainstorming what i want to do. lots of good ideas and looks. anyone think a 36 plymouth (i think) dash would look cool in a t-bucket? it has one large gauge with 4 small gauges inside and a speedo around it. let me know what you think

 

Here's a shot of the dash in my 49 F-1. I'm running temporary gauges right now which consist of some early 90's GMC van gauges cut down to fit in my original cluster. I got some black and clear acrylic and made the bezel and cover plate. I have less than $20 invested in this. Later on I'm planning on using a gague cluster from a 1958 Pontiac but for now this lets me drive the truck.

Here's mine for my F-1. Didn't like the rectangular one I originally made. So, I copied the curve on left side of the stock dash and duplicated it on the right side, making it longer to hold the guages, light switch and ign. key. 1/8" aluminum, cut on a std bandsaw. HAMB keyfob of course!

 

neat stuff. LOVE that Art Deco look especially.

32 Desoto dash panel, narrowed 1/4", gauges are TPI, aluminum panel bought off ebay (unknown mfgr.) going into my 30 coupe. 66 toronado wheel in photo will be used.

 

60-63 Chrysler gauge set. Would look cool column mounted.

its as old as I could make the new stuff look. wood is good.
smoothed the hole in the dash by welding in 3/8 steel line.



autometer has some new designs that look old.
wish they were out when I bought these...

chris pekarek has one of these in a SUPER badd ass sectioned and chopped 39 plymouth coupe. that shit looks so good!!!
I have not seen them lit up yet but he said they are incandecant sp?
