Ok people need an opinion on the sides of the car as I had to do rockers anyway and well I'm really on the fence with this one, Keep em or take em off?

Up until the rocker idea, this car is perfect. Leave them off.

this car has the potential to be like 50 Olds that Vally Customs built.I would loose the piping down there on the rockers if it could some how flow into something like that l.ike on the 46-48 Fords it might be cool

    Hey,

My thinkin' says if you're goin' with the rocker idea, they need to be 1/3 or smaller than they are now. Also, well moulded into the quarters and fender skirt areas. In the present size ,they take to much attention away from the section/ mass balance. Without something in the areas of the rockers, mouldings, kickstands etc. the vehicle won't look balanced or finished!

Yea, I would loose the rocker idea. The rest of the car I am impressed with and even more with your skills. I don't have big enough nads to try what you accomplished. Your the man!!

seeing the car has made me want to section some thing so bad..i thought about my fleetline but the trunk area would be a maze of welding i have a four door fleetline i might tackle someday but in the mean time im starting on sectioning a 47-55 Chevy truck tomorrow.

I think its an ok idea maybe something a little smaller or molded into the side from the fender back. like lake pipes

  13. This thing is killer. Please dont do the rocker thing. I think it's too much for the thinnned out mid section

Great work. How and where did you learn your skills? How many other cars have you Sectioned? I would go with a very subtle rocker panel.

    by-by rockers!! please?

  17. I like them, but they do look a bit big.
What size pipe is that? I've been eyeballing lake pipes on mine for that exact purpose, but I was going to sink them in about 1/2 way on a 2" pipe.

    Keep up the good work.

What if you make the side pipes oval? That would reduce the overall height and might look OK.

I am FAR from offering any opinions - You are VERY capable for doing the most amazing re-build in a relatively blink of an eye....
although, here are your lake pipes kinda cammo...

Here, here. They don't do it for me, either. Other than that, this is a fantastic build! That car was quite a sad sack until you got a hold of it...keep up the good work and don't be shy to ask for opinions on here....you're sure to get lots!

Hey awesome job on the section + chop, looks awesome! What ever happened to the original dash that was in the car, do you want to sell it if you still got it?

Just stumbled upon the thread. Looks like you have a good head on your shoulders to match the skills. You're doing everything right.

  30. The progress looks great! So you like to section stuff right? With that thick bumper on there Id say the hood could be sectioned maybe say 2.5" in the front to 0 at the cowl hmmmmm
